Who Is LifeTime Pet?
LifeTime Pet is a family owned and operated local business at 1030 East Santa Fe, Olathe, KS. We’ve supplied the community with quality, affordable pet supplies for years, and added dog boarding and daycare to our facilities in 2012. We understand that when you travel, you can’t always bring your four-legged friend — you can relax knowing your dog is enjoying their own vacation with us.
Q: What is LifeTime Pet’s dog boarding like?
A: Think of boarding like a structured hotel stay or summer camp for your dog. They get their own private space to sleep and eat, along with a daily schedule of full day play, potty breaks, and rest time. Everything is supervised by our staff to make sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Here at LifeTime Pet, all of our dogs are included in daycare everyday at no extra charge, and have the option to take a nap on one of our cots provided in the room, or in their own private kennel for a get-away.
Q: What are the requirements for dog boarding?
A: Your dog must be at least 4 months old or have had their first 3 rounds of puppy distemper, spayed or neutered (by 7 months of age), and current on vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and bordetella (must be up to date within 6 months of administration). They must be healthy, flea/tick free, and friendly with other dogs and people. Please email your dog’s vaccination records to vet@lifetimepet.net before the interview.

Curious Canines Want To Know
Q: What will my dog do during their stay?
A: They’ll play with other dogs of similar age, size, and temperament, in four separate indoor temperature-controlled play areas (each with dog beds) and two large outdoor areas with playground equipment.
Q: What should my dog bring?
A: A collar with a buckle release, their favorite toy and comfortable bedding. We recommend you bring your own food for a happy tummy (make sure to include enough food for the full length of their stay), but we can provide food for an additional fee. Please keep in mind, personal belongings are not meant for group play and will remain in their kennel.
Q: What should my dog NOT bring?
A: You don’t need to bring bowls and measuring cups for feeding, unless your dog has a specialty bowl (raised feeder or slow feeder). We love keeping your pup cozy, but if they tend to chew on fabrics, please leave bedding at home.
Q: Does LifeTime Pet provide bathing?
A: Yes, for an additional cost, our staff will bathe your dog during their stay.
Q: Will my dog be able to receive medications?
A: Our staff will administer medication you provide (pill, powder, or liquid) for an additional daily fee. We don’t administer injected medications.
Q: What if my dog gets sick or injured?
A: Our staff will take great care of your pet and contact you right away. In an emergency, we’ll take your dog to the vet immediately.
Q: Can my dog nap during daycare?
A: Yes, just let us know and we’ll make sure they get some rest.
Q: Should I feed my dog before dropping them off?
A: Generally no, it’s best not to feed them right before dropping them off. If your dog is arriving after 5pm, plan on feeding dinner before drop-off as our dogs currently here have already been fed.
Q: Do I need a reservation?
A: We recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead. If it’s your dog’s first visit, remember an interview is required before their first stay. The interview process does take some time, so don’t wait until the last minute — spots fill up fast around the holidays.
Q: When can I drop off or pick up my dog?
A: We prefer you drop off or pick up any time between 9am and 6pm for overnight boarding Monday–Saturday and 11am–4pm Sundays. Pick up before 1pm Monday–Saturday to avoid an additional half-day daycare fee.
